Welcome to the fascinating crater lake of abundant coloured frogs. Here, you will experience real African village hospitality and a memorable stunning view of the sunset on the lake. CVK (Crater Valley Kibale Resort Beach Lodge), 21 km from Fort Portal town and 10 km from Kanyanchu, is another alternative on the border of the Park.
The lodge sits on tranquil crater Lake Nyabikere (meaning lake of frogs), facing the Mountains of the Moon (Rwenzori Mountains), with snow visible on a clear day. Self-contained rooms have hot and cold running water as well as sitting flush toilets and standing showers. CVK is a family-run establishment and so the ambience is very friendly and food the best you will find around.
