Waterproof hiking boots

Gardening gloves

Rain jacket/poncho

While on gorilla safari, expect rains at any time of the day regardless of the season whether it is a dry spell or wet season. Long sleeved shirts

Treks to see mountain gorillas take you through the dense jungles of Uganda, Rwanda and the DR Congo and while here, you will encounter stinging insects especially ants or perhaps falling tree branches. To safeguard yourself from such situations, you need long sleeved shirts/trousers that you tuck into socks/blouses and others. When considering which cloth to wear or trouser, most importantly, you need environmentally friendly attire.

Hat and sun glasses

Uganda’s weather isn’t same through and can change at any time of the day. It can be very hot at times and a hat can do you some good job and sun glasses for strong sun rays. They may look optional but they significant while you are on gorilla safari.

Miscellaneous items to have include towel and most importantly, you need a heavy one to suit within the conditions at the park, sweater, daypack that is waterproof and many more.

On gorilla safari, other key items to include on your packing list include toiletries, waterproof daypack for your camera, first aid kit, camera, energy giving snacks, bottled water, permit, binoculars, documents, packed lunch, long socks, sweaters, long pants and others.
