GeoLodges Uganda to open safari lodge in Rwenzori Mountains to promote tourism in an undiscovered beauty of Uganda
GeoLodges Uganda which owns and operates the Rain Forest Lodge in Mabira Forest, Nile Safari Lodge in Murchison Falls National Park and the award-winning Jacana Safari Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park, has announced that Equator Snow Loge on the foothills of Rwenzori Mountains has joined its portfolio and is set to start receiving bookings from the 01st of October for a soft opening phase.
The new lodge has four rooms or what are being called “living spaces” with spectacular views of the “Mountains of the Moon”, located next to the rushing pure mountain waters of the Mubuku River to soothe your body, mind and soul.
According to a statement published on their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/GeoLodges), the management wrote A living space for ultimate relaxation, thoughts and peace! Whether you are coming down from a climb in the Rwenzoris (which have the 3rd and 4th highest peaks in all of Africa) or just on a weekend getaway…Equator Snow Lodge will offer some of the finest holiday experiences in the Rwenzori Mountains. The tourism fraternity hopes that the presence of the new property along with the other community camps and lodges in the region will boost visitation to the park and benefit the local communities and recognition of the 996km2 Rwenzori Mountains National Park that was established in 1991 as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994 and an international Ramsar wetland site in 2008.
The beautiful Rwenzori mountain chain, which is Africa’s largest and most inaccessible mountain range, is nestled in its turbulent heart straddling both the equator and the border of Uganda and the DRC. See Mountaineering Safaris in Uganda for more deals and offers for Uganda travelers!
